Luxury Voluntourism in Morocco – Day 1

Day 1
We have arrived for our voluntourism adventure in Morocco at a time of great unrest in North Africa, especially in Libya, with atrocities going on there – so grave that our voluntourism trips to Libya are now on hold.
And, despite the appalling bomb going off in Djeema el Fna recently, we feel very welcome, and safe, and even more determined to make a difference by combining luxury travel with volunteering.
We check in to a superb riad inside the medina, Riad Kniza, which is Moroccan owned, and we are made to feel like part of the family. Moreover, the riad sources 70% of its hot water from solar energy – this is truly an eco-luxe riad, and we love it!
